TMJ Treatment

TMJ or ‘temporomandibular joint’ which is located where your lower jaw meets the skull. TMJ gives us the ability to close and open our mouths, providing ease to speak, yawn, and chew.

Sometimes, problems occur where difficulties with chewing or speaking come with patients. This includes jaw joint issues, where there may be discomfort on the jaw.

What are the symptoms of TMJ?

  • Stuffiness or ringing in the ears causes discomfort.
  • Jaw pain while opening and closing the mouth.
  • A clicking or popping sound is made during the jaw movement.
  • Headaches or neck pains on a regular basis.
  • Muscle spasms occur as the jaw opens and closes
  • Swelling of the face around the joint
  • The bite of the teeth changes.
  • Difficulties in opening and closing the mouth. (locked jaw)
